CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE

Amazingly every single day of our lives we are subject to hundreds, if not thousands, of choices in the average twenty four hour day. From the thousands of choices, we instinctively determine our decisions that make up a typical day. Sometimes there's the “DUH”, (the no brainer moment) decision. While other choices require a little more thought when deciding who, what, where, when, how and why we do the things we do. Sometimes there are the recompenses that goes along with, or escorts, our choices that we sometimes overlook, or at least don't consider, when we make the choices we make. For instance; If you exceed the posted speed limit, (whether you meant to or not), you will probably get a speeding ticket. If you don't ever change your motor oil, your vehicle won't perform properly, and maybe even break down. If you tease a hungry dog, then I'm sure it will make you wish you hadn't (the “DUH”, no brainer moment). Then there are the spiritual choices that yield spiritual consequences as well. Walk in the Truth, and you will have the peace of God. Exalt God always in your daily life, both personal and professional, and He will exalt you openly. Forgive others, and God will forgive you; But forgive not others, and God will not forgive you. You can live with a speeding ticket, you will get over a broken down vehicle, your wounds will even heal from a dog bite; but you will parish, eternally separated from God, if there's no Love and forgiveness in your heart. God has graciously given us two commandments that supersedes all others. Only two, and they are to Love Him first, above all things, and with everything about you, and to Love your neighbors, which, by the way, is everyone. The first of all commandments is: Hear,O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is this: Thou shalt Love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these (Mark 12: 29-31). Love will help you understand how God cares for you, and why He sent His Son. Love will help you see the value God sees in you, and everyone else in the world. Love will cause you to look beyond a man's faults , to see the soul desperate for Christ. Love will cause you to see, and understand, God's desire to redeem all men unto Himself. Love is more then a feeling or an emotion, Love is the "Person" of God, because God "IS" Love. And finally, (but not lastly), Love will break your heart, when men choose to rebel against God and His authority, mocking and blaspheming His Righteousness, taking His Holy Name in vain. It is critical, eternally important, to keep His commandments. Love God unconditionally, forgive others as God forgives you. Jesus chose to take our sins and offenses to the Cross on Calvary, shed His Blood, died and rise again, to reconcile us once again, through the power of forgiveness. This is why He taught us how to pray in this way; We have come to know it as “The Lord’s Prayer”. After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts (sins); as we forgive our debtors (sins against us). And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses (sins), your Heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if ye forgive not men their trespasses (sins), neither will your Father forgive your trespasses, (Matthew 6: 9-13). Understand that; For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:2). Our eternal fellowship with Jesus Christ depends on us forgiving others, though we sometimes find it difficult. I think God knows that of us as well don't you? But realize this Church, that unforgiveness will transfigure to resentment; Resentment to bitterness; Bitterness to animosity, then hostility. When it is finished, it becomes an excuse to hate, sometimes over the smallest of things. And hatred has no place in the presents of a Holy and Righteous God. Where will it end? I think you know the answer to that question. When the Son of Man shall come in His Glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall he sit upon the throne of His Glory. And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats (Matthew 25: 31,32). Forgiveness will always depends on you. Whether you choose to forgive, because it is the Will of God; or whether you choose not to forgive, because it is your will not to. The strength in forgiveness is when you have reason not to, because forgiveness will always make you free from a life of bitterness and separation from God. And He said unto me "My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness"....(2Corinthians 12:9). Jesus said..“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven" (Luke 6:37); And I will profess, and allege to the world this very day, that there is NO POWER in all of creation, that could ever prevent God from completing His purpose for your life, except maybe your choice to ignore the voice of God and walk away. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whispers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, Inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents; without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful; who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them (Romans 1: 28-32). And still today people don't like to retain their knowledge of God. Every person on the planet at some point in their lives has heard of God, “the Creator”, but refuses to believe. They seek their own wisdom and commit to their own wickedness. They seek out the same to commit their abominations with, and teach their children to so the same, and to speak evil of the goodness of God. They'll be without excuse, when standing before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ. Woe unto them who call evil, good, and good, evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Woe unto them who are wise in their own eye's, and prudent in their own sight (Isaiah 5: 21,21). Remember Lucifer? He was the first one to rebel against God Almighty. For thou hast said in thine heart, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I Will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High". Yet thou shalt be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit (Isaiah 14 13-15). Then there was Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Life was perfect. God provided everything for the man and woman, making only one demand, ”Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But commanded, of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:16,17). “And the serpent …., Ye shall not surely die; For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:4,5). So what happened? Even with advanced warning of eternal death as the recompense for disobeying God's commandment, they still allow themselves to be deceived by the serpent. Though the devil could only deceive, he could not make them sin, they chose on their own to disobey God. Then sadly their eye's were opened to the knowing of good and evil. And still today we allow ourselves to be deceived by the serpent, who may appear as a person who you may come to know and trust, making sense of the things you don't understand, deceiving you into compromising the Truth about sin. “Ye shall not surely die” (wink wink); I think deception is the per-curser for disobedience, sin is the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve was not only deceived by the serpent, but willing to disobey God. They trusted the serpents words, more then God's warning, to gain that which was forbidden, the knowledge of good and evil. And now, henceforth every generation that followed is cursed to make the same choices, to believe the Truth of God, or to forfeit their salvation and believe the lies of the serpents. “Ye shall not surely die”, is still the lie today, but the truth is,“yes we will die”, if we believe the serpent (the devil). But thanks be to God, the story didn't end there. God, in His Great Love and infinite Wisdom, had already prepared the way for our redemption. Sin demanded our death. And the death required for our redemption was paid in full by the blood of Jesus Christ, God's own Son. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord (Romans 6:23). For God so Loved the world folks, that Jesus became the stench of our sin, and the sins of the entire world. But Jesus took “your” sins, independent from all others, and shed His Blood for you personally. This is what it means for Him to be your “personal Lord and Savior”. He rose from the grave in victory, to defeat sin and death just for YOU. God has since given man signs and wonders of His Glory in the heavens, prophecies are being fulfilled so that this world would believe, and repent from it's evil deeds. But sadly we are still being deceived by Satan, the father of lies, the great deceiver, who's desire is to destroy you before his final judgment, his ultimate destination; the lake of fire. Eternal separation from God awaits all those who follow him. Don't Do It!! Don’t be deceived people of God. God is still on His Throne. And Satan is still a liar, and is still campaigning for your souls today. Don't be fooled. Seek the Truth of God and live. Be aware of false prophets and teachers who stand behind our pulpits and teach our children. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15). “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive man. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow (wax) cold” (Matthew 24:11,12). You most likely won't be deceived if you are continually seek first the “Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness”. You probably won't believe a lie if you are living the Truth. It is unlikely that you would ever be mislead if your eye's are open to “Jesus, who is the Light of the world”. You'll whether the storms of life if your foundation is built on Jesus Christ, “The Rock”. You will recognize the lies from false prophets by the Truth of the Holy Spirit, who is your guide in life. And finally, your heart will be filled with perfect Peace, Joy, and righteousness when your life is in agreement with the Biblical Truth of Gods Word. So shall they fear the Name of the Lord from the West, and His Glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). And the "standard" is Christ Himself, in Power and Authority. Be still and know that He is God. Every day we will face choices. That's part of life. And maybe sometimes we might even second guess yourselves. That's normal to. But always be strong in the Lord, Church, and in the power of His might. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13). And we can do nothing without Him. Why would we want to anyway? Begin each day committing your service to the Lord. Make a conscience choice each day to praise the Name of the Lord. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the Lord's Name is to be praised (Psalms 113:3). The key words are "Is To Be Praised". “And many shall follow their pernicious (very destructive) ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2Peter 2:2). Satan continues to try and deceive us into thinking that all is well, when in fact it seem like our whole life is falling apart. After all, what hope is there without Jesus Christ, the “Rock” of our salvation? Consider the wickedness in today's society; Is it because the body of Christ has compromised the Truth about sin by their own life styles? Who would be saved if the Lord finds us sleeping? "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14: 12). “Enter in at the strait (narrow) gates; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in that way. Because strait (narrow) is the gate, and narrow (hard) is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7: 13,14). Choose you this day whom you will serve. Someone’s soul may depend on you being committed to the Truth, when the world is teaching lies. Be faithful to God our Father, and be committed once again to walk in the Truth. Your only as much of a Christian as you are when your alone, or when no one is looking. “I call Heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live, That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him; for He is thy life, and the length of thy days;..” (Deuteronomy 30: 19-20). So what's it gonna be folks? This is a very serious matter that needs your immediate attention for the sake of your children, and your grand children, and your great grand children, and everyone who depends on you. "And if I be lifted up from the earth, will I draw all men unto me" (John 12:32). Satan still loathes the human race, and despises us and our children because we have been created in the image of our God. And he will stop at nothing to try and destroy you and your family, and attempts to steal their souls through deception and lies. And he “will” try to destroy you by offering you whatever you desire; Fame, fortune, Power, Authority, Money, Influence, Talent, what ever you want he will give it to you, but only if you will bow down and worship him. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showing unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, “All this power (and authority) will I give thee, and the glory of them; for this is delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will give it. If thou, therefore. Wilt worship me, all shall be thine”. And Jesus answered, and said unto him, “Get thee behind me, Satan; for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve”. (Luke 4: 5-8) And if you think for one moment Satan can't, or won't, tempt you with these things, think again. Remember, his greatest weapon against you is deception. And if Jesus Himself was tempted (for our sake) then you “will' be tempted as well for the sake of your soul, and the souls of your children, and all your seed. But there is something that you can do for them, and yourself, right now; And that is to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ into your heart and life. Believe that Jesus shed His Blood and was crucified for your sins, and that God raised Him from the dead, and is now seated at the Father's right hand, advocating for you and your children. Teach this to your children daily, and your children's children. It's that important. With God all things are possible, and it's never to late to do the right thing. Do it now while you have the opportunity. Do it for them! The Truth will always exonerate you and vindicate your soul in the sight of God. The Truth has always been the only way to be set free. And Jesus is the Truth. No doubt Satan will always try to remind you of your past, accusing you of the things you've done wrong, not being good enough, nor worthy. But when he reminds you of your past, just remind him of his future. “...If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed: And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free” (John 8:32,32). Be humble before the Lord your God. Be dedicated and Love your neighbor. Be you followers of the Truth. Give your life to Christ and He will create in you a new heart, a heart that will yearn after His Righteousness Him. "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and My Words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own Glory, and in the Father's, and on the holy angles" (Luke 9:26). For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his own sin. He shall die without instructions , and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray (Proverbs 5: 21-23). Choose you this day to be followers of Christ, seek Wisdom and Knowledge, get Understanding, and you will discover a greater relationship with our Holy and Just Father. "Draw nigh unto God, and He will draw nigh unto you...." (James 4:8). God is Holy, God is Righteous, He is the joy of eternal life. God is Faithful, God is Just. We must go beyond everything we know and understand, to live by the Faith that pleases Him, and to walk by Faith and not by sight. Now , therefore, fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river, and in Egypt, and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake he Lord, to serve other gods (Joshua 24:14-16); That didn’t happen. They refused to obey God, though they spoke the words, they continued in idolatry. Their words became a witnesses against them. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:27). Saying one thing, then doing another. Kind of like today don’t you think? I mean, how different is society today than it was in Joshua’s day? Not very much really. And sadly in some Church's today, there will be people of God who still refuse to completely surrender their heart, soul, mind, and will to our Lord Jesus Christ. But still God Loves them, and has no desire that any should perish. Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his ways and live; turn ye, turn from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel (Ezekiel 33:11)? What will your decision be today folks? Will you continue to be politically correct in your relationship with God? Or will you, once and for all, stand up for your faith, proclaiming your trust, confidence, and loyalty to Christ Jesus your Lord, who has redeemed you. On that day,Christ Our Lord will judge the hearts, and the thoughts of the hearts, of “all” people . “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son; That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father, who hath sent Him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself. And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man ” (John 5:22,27). God doesn’t expect us to be perfect. We never could be. But He does expect us to be faithful to the Truth, and to obey His commandments. He also expects us to be people of honor and speak the Truth about sin, never compromising Biblical values and the standards God has set before us to live by. Sin can be “anything” that contradicts the Word of God. Your thoughts will always be consumed by what’s most important to you and how desperate you are to receive it. What will consume your thoughts today people of God? What do you desire the most of the Lord? “Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing I desire of the Lord, that I will seek after; That I will dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple” (Psalms 27: 3,4). What will your heart seek after today? Will you desire to behold beauty of the Lord? Will you inquire of the Lord His Truth, Mercy and Forgiveness of others? As you read this, will you choose right now to do the right thing, and to renew your heart in His presents? Will you pray today what the Psalmist prayed; “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me”(Psalms 51:10). Say the name of Jesus, and everything in your life must bow to Him. Every situation, and in every circumstance, bitterness and unforgiveness must yield itself to the Truth of God, who is Holy forever and ever, Amen. “And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death” (Jeremiah 21:8).
